We humans are more or less obsessed with setting age limits on various things. Alcohol. Driving various vehicles. Vote. Carry gun, gambling (if allowed at all), use snuff, smoke, marriage and having sex and the list goes on and on for things we supposedly can't deal with until we have circulated the sun enough number of times. What we don't know of course is what actually happens in our brains during these circles. We just think we do, but reality is - we have no clue. No clue at all. As a matter of fact, logically - they have no common sense. I explain. DRIVING IS BASED ON A TEST In Sweden, you need to be 15, 18, 21 to drive small motorcycle, car and large vehicle such as truck or bus respectively. Now, could a 5 year old drive a truck? In the hunt for ever growing monetary profit, companies (and individuals that control them) goes to extreme lengths to use and misuse the trust of human kind by plan product obsolencence, or in other words; intentional limiting a product life cycle. Few people - me included a couple of years ago - think not much about how service and maintenance is performed on a new product. We don't really want to think about how to service something we barely have liberated from the clever packaging, let alone started (if that is possible that is). A couple of years ago my dream computer was released – Microsof Surface Pro 3. It had everything on my initial list of functions for a small portable computer, transforming to a tablet (or vice versa) with long battery life, super high resolution and a built in stand. My inital impressions was good but not for very long. And now, 2 years later, my list of things I wished Microsoft would have thought of, or simply just planned for - is ever growing...
